(Borkena) UDJ carried out what it described as it successful peaceful demonstration in Dessie, a town in North Central Ethiopia, opposing government political and economic repression. An estimated 60,000 people are said to have taken part in the demonstration. No violence or arrest is reported on Dessie Demonstration so far. However, government security personnel and cadres were apparently making video clips and taking pictures of the residents taking part in the demonstion
