Toronto – Nearly two weeks after government forces killed one of the Fano leaders from Gondar and two of his colleagues in a shootout in the capital Addis Ababa, families are still not allowed to take the dead bodies.
Anchor Media, an Ethiopian News source based in the United States, reported earlier that the bodies are in the Federal Police Department.
Haregewoin Adugna, mother of Nahusenay, one of the fano forces who was killed, pleads for help to get the dead body of her son as she hopes for giving him a burial.
Abiy Ahmed’s administration this week made claims that his government is building a “new culture.” Ethiopia experienced an unprecedented security crisis – especially in the Oromo region of Ethiopia where Abiy Ahmed is from, to the point that tens of thousands of civilians are massacred, and brutally.
Nahusenay’s mother had an interview with Anchor Media. Take a listen and share your remarks in the comment section.
