The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) and Zizi Afrique Foundation (ZAF) embarked on a transformative, child-centred advocacy campaign during the regional Kenya Music Festivals across four regions (Nairobi, Central, Nyanza and Western) and the national festivals, reaching directly over 200,000 learners, teachers and parents with accurate information on CBE values. The initiative, rooted in the principles of Competency-Based Education (CBE), focused on advancing learner awareness, understanding and lived experiences of eight core values under CBE namely: love, respect, unity, patriotism, social justice, responsibility, integrity, and peace
