Ethiopia has been embroiled in political turmoil in recent years, with the government facing criticism and accusations of human rights abuses. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, who came to power in 2018, has been at the centre of these controversies.

Since coming to power, Dr. Abiy has employed a controversial and divisive political strategy that revolves around chaos and conflict. Instead of fostering unity and stability, he has chosen to sow discord and exploit the resulting turmoil for his own benefit.

One of the key tactics in Dr. Abiy’s playbook is the deliberate stoking of ethnic and religious tensions within the country. By manipulating these fault lines, he has been able to create a sense of fear and mistrust among different communities, leading to violence and unrest. This chaos serves as a distraction from his own shortcomings and failures as a leader, allowing him to maintain a tight grip on power.

Furthermore, Dr. Abiy has not shied away from using war as a tool to further his political agenda. By engaging in military conflicts both within the country and with neighboring nations, he has been able to rally support behind him and consolidate his hold on power. The human cost of these conflicts is immense, with countless lives lost and communities torn apart in the process. There have been reports of widespread human rights abuses in Ethiopia, including extrajudicial killings, arbitrary arrests, and restrictions on freedom of speech. Critics argue that these actions are part of a broader strategy by Abiy Ahmed to silence dissent and maintain his grip on power.

The situation in Ethiopia remains complex and volatile, with deep-rooted ethnic tensions and political divisions. The allegations of a conspiracy by Abiy Ahmed to stay in power have added fuel to the fire, further polarizing the political landscape.

In essence, Dr. Abiy’s political leadership can be characterized by a willingness to embrace chaos and instability as a means to an end. Rather than seeking to build a more inclusive and peaceful society, he has chosen to exploit division and conflict for his own personal gain. As a result, the future of the country hangs in the balance, with uncertainty and turmoil becoming the new normal under his rule.

You said ”Since coming to power, Dr. Abiy has employed a controversial and divisive political strategy that revolves around chaos and conflict. Instead of fostering unity and stability, he has chosen to sow discord and exploit the resulting turmoil for his own benefit” WRONG!

Is there any Ethiopian modern LEADER who has worked so hard to bring unity in Ethiopia? don’t lie, reality will be upset here.. a lot to show you in that regard,

It worked in some region; it didn’t work in some region. I Appreciate and promote regions who accepted unity, and surround and destroy the one who wish to go against unity, that’s all he did and that is proper response.

    I just see complain here…..

  2. Come on – when you are a PM, not a single person should die in your realm. People want good roads and nice parks , yes, but what good are these if there is no one to enjoy them. This lunatic (psychosis) has brought chaos and fracture, not unity and growth. Wait when he leaves (or is removed) the country will take one long breath and all be will be well.

    • Wushet Alwedem Ene,

yes, your wish is nice, but your country has been fighting each other more than 100 years. Our king showed up after the country purposely destroyed by people with st*d wishes ( TPLF) Thanks to Dr Abiy, we are now more than survive as a country. He covered so much in short period of time to make sure Ethiopia stands, but people like you wants Dimond right now, can you wait for your diamond, we don’t have it in a stock. Lower your expectation, you still undermine other tribes so it will take time to fulfil your wish ….. let’s start good thing from you before calling names the coolest leader we got…
