To the UN, the US Government, Amnesty International, and Human Rights Watch: SOS! Distress Call! Amhara Genocide Emergency!

We urgently appeal to you as Abiy Ahmed has initiated and launched a genocidal war against the Amhara people of Ethiopia. Shimeles Abdisa, one of his key allies and a notorious instigator of violence and genocide, has publicly declared his intent to annihilate the Amhara population. He is actively mobilizing the youth in his tribal enclave to carry out this horrifying agenda.
The international community must immediately leverage all available diplomatic and humanitarian channels to investigate and halt the atrocities being committed by Abiy Ahmed and his regime. The Amhara people are currently fighting for their very right to exist.
A gruesome genocidal massacre is now unfolding in Ethiopia that could surpass even the horrors of the Rwanda genocide. Ethiopia, with a population of almost 130 million, is on the brink of a crisis that could have devastating repercussions across East Africa, the Horn of Africa, the entire continent, and beyond. The global community, particularly Europe, faces imminent risks of massive humanitarian crises, immigration waves, and the proliferation of terrorism if these atrocities are not stopped.
Ethiopian experts have previously warned of Abiy Ahmed’s possible bipolar disorder and hyperactive attention deficit disorder, which may contribute to his erratic and violent behavior. Shimeles Abdisa, though not formally diagnosed, has incited violence with his incendiary rhetoric, misleading and radicalizing the youth in his “Kilil”, as they name the regions nowadays.
We are witnessing the tragic consequences of these warnings. Abiy Ahmed has now officially launched a campaign of extermination against the Amhara people, who have been central to Ethiopian society for centuries. Shimeles Abdisa has repeatedly echoed these violent intentions with fervent calls to arms.
The drums of war are beating loudly. Truckloads of soldiers are being deployed to the Amhara region, where they are committing widespread atrocities, including massacres, rape, and plunder. The situation is dire and demands immediate international intervention.

Abiy Ahmed and Shimeles Abdisa are orchestrating mass murder and genocide against innocent Amhara civilians, including children, the elderly, and people with disabilities. We implore the UN, the US government, Amnesty International, and Human Rights Watch to act swiftly and decisively to prevent what could become one of the world’s worst instances of state-sponsored genocide.
Help us stop this tragedy before it’s too late.
